Horseback Riding at Calamus Outfitters
Calamus Outfitters is a working ranch located in central Nebraska. This ranch has everything from cattle to horses to wide-open rangeland, and is situated with many horseback riding trails for your horseback riding pleasure.
Calamus Outfitters has outdoor horse stables and pens located on our ranch for the horses. These stables are cleand and modern, and have been designed with our horses best interest in mind. You also may be interested in bringing your own horses to ride on our ranch too.
Horseback riding can be a great way to introduce children to outdoor recreational activities. Our family oriented ranch is set up so that all, young and old, will be able to enjoy the recreatonal ranch activities we offer.
The ranch hands at Calamus Outfitters have been working with horses for many years, and are very good at understanding the horseback riding needs of each guest. Our horse trainers know each of the horses personalities and can make sure the right horse is selected for you to ride.
The horse trails on the ranch are located to some beatiful Nebraska ranchland. You will have the opportunity to see many different species of native wildflowers and birds, along with spectacular scenery. Sunsets, sunrises, stars, cloud formations, rainbows and more are of some of the other things you will encounter
We do trail rides for 9 years old and older and a corral lead-around for kids younger than 9. Bring your cowboy boots, jeans and cowboy hats and enjoy a real old-fashioned horseback trail ride. The lasting memories and photographic opportunities will provide many years of enjoyment for you and your family.
