River Trips: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How deep is the river? 12 to 36 inches, with some places that are 5-6 feet deep. No rocks or rapids. Family friendly river.
What river do you float on? The Calamus River only. We do not rent anything to go on the Calamus Reservoir or any other river.
Can we just pick up the tubes and haul them ourselves? No.
How many per tank? Each tank holds 4 to 5 adults depending on the size of the individuals in your party.
Tubes are single person tubes.
Do I need reservations? Yes.
What is the cancellation policy for river trips? If you cancel more than two weeks prior to your scheduled river trip, a full refund will be issued. If you cancel within two weeks, no refunds will be issued. No shows are responsible for 100% of trip fees.
Can we add tubes or tanks when we get there? Yes, if they are available.
Where do we go? Come to the Calamus Outfitters office to check in. You will then be given directions to the parking area for your trip (you will be driving your own vehicle to this location).
Is there a shuttle? Yes. We provide shuttle service at either the beginning or end of your trip depending on the length of your trip and the day.
Do you have life vests? Yes. If you have small children under four years of age who have their own life vests please bring them.
We do have small life vests, however they do not fit as well as your own.
Can we use your launch site for free and put in our own canoe, tank, tube, etc? No.
